SLURGE Wolfgang Seidel, Eric Bauer, Burkhard Beins, Carina Khorkhordina

Slurge is a band project founded exclusively for Superbooth 19. The members are the ex-Ton Steine Scherben drummer Wolfgang Seidel, Carina Khorkhordina, Eric Bauer and Burkhard Beins.

The vitas of Slurge’s members reach back to the times of Kluster/Cluster and the Zodiac Free Arts Lab, which was founded by Beuys’ student Conrad Schnitzler in West Berlin in 1968. Another biographical landmark is the post-wall years when parts of Berlin’s old city centre became an area of unknown property and power relations. It was a niche which made experiments possible, outside of commercial logics.

Since then Seidel is exploring the possibilities of live-improvisation and avantgarde-electronica in the field of his so-called Echtzeitmusik (real-time-music).
