Quaeschning & Frick

Since 2005 Thorsten Quaeschning is a member of Tangerine Dream. Their founder Edgar Froese died in 2015. Froese wished for the band to continue after his death, so Quaeschning took over the role as bandleader. Since then Tangerine Dream is the trio of Quaeschning, Hoshiko Yamane and Ulrich Schnauss.

To their concert at Berlin’s Elektro Beats Festival in 2018 they invited Paul Frick as a guest musician. Frick is part of the band Brandt Brauer Frick. In January 2019 Quaeschning and Frick gave a concert with Yamane and Hans-Joachim Roedelius, founder of Cluster. On this evening in honor of Edgar Froese, they played a long improvisation.

For this year’s Superbooth, Quaeschning and Frick collaborate again.
