Der Plan

Der Plan was formed in 1979 in the environment of Dusseldorf’s infamous Ratinger Hof. The band was therefore influenced by Kraftwerk as well as the DIY attitude of Punk. Moritz R, Kurt Dahlke alias Pyrolator and Frank Fenstermacher originally started as an experimental music group.

With their 1981 single „Da vorne steht 'ne Ampel“ they created a minimalistic but catchy sound, which got them national attention. It is seen as one of the early and most influential pieces of Neue Deutsche Welle. After a long break in wich the members focussed on different projects, Der Plan released the album „Unkapitulierbar“ on Bureau B in 2017.

But not only as musicians they influenced the shape of Germany’s sound. They run the Label Ata Tak (formerly Global Warming). DAF, Andreas Dorau, Fehlfarben and Die Tödliche Doris are just a few of important releases. DAF and Andreas Dorau also released on Mute, the label of Daniel Miller who will be playing at Superbooth19 as well.
